My Story

Hello, my name is Wade and I am the creator behind Okiedog Woodworking. The name Okiedog Woodworking came from my dad, which combines our love for Oklahoma as well as dogs. I am from the great state of Oklahoma, which is where my business resides. I started Okiedog Woodworking in 2019, but really started to grow during the pandemic when I had time off from being a teacher. While my full time job is working in education as a principal, my true passion comes from building furniture for others. I started to grow this passion one summer when prepping for the upcoming school year. I was tired of purchasing cheap furniture which only lasted one school year at best. Through YouTube videos and researching plans online, I taught myself how to build a bookcase and I have continued building since that day. I have spent the past 4 years trying to learn new techniques and grow my skills so that I can provide you with the highest quality furniture.

Besides doing woodworking in my spare time, I like to go hiking, hangout with our dog, Bud, and sit outside in our rocking chairs with my wife, JoHannah. We can't wait to connect with you and help create custom pieces made just for you!
